Excellent food! I’m dairy and gluten free and they worked well with me. I highly recommend and Al is a great server!

I recently ate here and ordered the Chicken Shawarma sandwich. Since I follow a gluten free diet, I asked my server to put the pita on the side so I could take it home to my husband. She said that it comes as a sandwich and she could not do this. I rephrased my request and was again told she could not do this. I eat at Middle Eastern restaurants regularly and I have NEVER had a server refuse to omit the pita or put it on the side. I may consider eating here again, but only if Mashawi can accommodate this very simple request.

I usually don’t like to write negative reviews, and when this restaurant was on Wilcox, I would have. The new location has a new ownership team, and it shows in the best way! The service is phenomenal, the presentation is beautiful, and the food is crave-worthy. I could probably eat the food every day it’s so good. We went for lunch and had fresh lemonade, and chicken shawarmas, and a gyro plate. I told our server I couldn’t eat gluten and she brought out sliced cucumber instead of pita. The hummus was fresh and the tahini they used was perfect! The toum that came with my dish was the best I’ve ever had, and I wanted to lick the container clean. We’ll definitely go back, and I’m so happy we took a risk and tried it again. It’s a completely different restaurant.
