Mashima of Japan

My friends and I went out for some sushi last night and we chose Mashima, usually we go to KoKo’s but since they’ve closed we had to try something new. We got a table in the bar since it was open seating. The bartenders were AMAZING!! We were greeted right as we sat down and even though they were pretty busy we got excellent service. One of my friends had a gluten allergy and the girl serving us took time to go through each available option the restaurant had and even recommended substitutions to make certain rolls suitable, now that is what I call service. I recommend the scallop ceviche, and any sashimi, the fish was so fresh, I always knew this place as Nakashima and I’m aware it’s the same owners but just a name change, but I’m not sure why I haven’t stopped by before. I also tried all 3 featured drinks and they did not disappoint. I will definitely be returning.

Lexi was our server & she was awesome! I didn’t even know they offered a gluten free soy sauce (with zero taste difference!) & she was very informative & kind about what they could offer! Ty was our chef at the hibachi & I recommend requesting him ahead of time if possible! He’s very easy to talk to, super funny & he sings! Could not recommend it here enough if you want a fun experience & AMAZING food!

Lexi our server was very friendly and enthusiastic with us ! very helpful with my sister's gluten allergy and making sure that they could do gluten free for her. Ty was a fantastic cook with a great personality and hilarious. made the whole group laugh the entire time ☺️
