I don’t know what’s going on with the high reviews on this place. We tried it when they had been open for a month or so, and the owner seemed frazzled, taking orders and working in the kitchen simultaneously. They were out of gluten-free buns, so he sent one of his kitchen staff to the store to get more, which was a nice gesture, but also took a really long time then to get our food. I gave them another chance tonight with my friend and a couple of kids, and it didn’t seem any more organized than last time. I waited a while in the restaurant at the counter before anyone acknowledged that I was there, in fact, I just watched the cook investigating an ice cream scooper for a while without even noticing us. We ordered our food, which all came at different times over the course of about 20 minutes. Fries were brought out separately from burgers, items were brought to the wrong person, my friends bun for her sandwich was just a joke, it was like a mini bun. My son‘s chicken in his chicken sandwich was more like chicken strips and so were falling out of the bun when he was trying to eat it. He was so annoyed. He just packed it in a container and brought it home to eat with a fork and knife- he would’ve been embarrassed to do that at a restaurant. It was very messy. I know the owners are trying, but I won’t give it another chance as it’s too frantic and disorganized, and the quality of the food just isn’t great. There are plenty of other solid, good restaurants in Ashland.
