Fantastic afternoon at Matteos! Great communication before booking, I am gluten free and nothing was a problem, matteo could adjust the menu to suit me, when we arrived, we were welcomed with a smile, matteo was the only person working that day and there were 10 of us to look after! What an amazing job he did, attentive, attention to detail and the food was absolutely lovely! We will certainly be returning, it is so nice to be able to find a restaurant that takes your intolerances into consideration And still produce absolutely gorgeous food! Thank you so much, you made my birthday really special thankyou!! A definite visit if your travelling to settle! Beautiful food !!!

Could be a lovely experience. However there was 1 person serving cooking and taking payment. Arived at 6.45 and had our main course - basic pizza and pasta - at 8.20! Hadnt felt the need to pre order my gluten base pizza as the menu offered as full options. Please let them know in advance!! The garlic bread was delicious - the house wine passable. The mains were terrible. The pizza was sloppy, the veg served alongside the chicken was half raw and the pasta was poorly cooked. Overall couldn't wait to leave as the chef was stressed and the other diners were also complaining. Did feel sorry for the chef as he was obviously competent but had taken on too much and could not provide a genuine experience. Overall dissappointing and it coukd have been fab - just offer 3 options and pile on the garlic bread!
