We haven’t been to any other luau to compare this to, but had a really nice time here. They had a variety of family friendly activities in the first hour, like headband weaving, Polynesian temporary tattoos, and a hula lesson. There were also professional photos with the dancers and a few local artists selling things. The dinner buffet was very tasty, and we were dismissed by table based on the level we’d paid for. As one of the last tables sent to the buffet, there was still lots of food and it was all still hot. They had chicken, fish, and pulled pork, as well and green salad, noodle salad, rice, sweet potatoes and more. There weren’t a lot of gluten free options, just be aware. The show started at the end of dinner and included dances from different cultures, hula, and fire dancing. They show host was really funny and talked about uses for coconut trees and making fire, which was a nice cultural aspect. Personally I would’ve liked if the show included a little more Polynesian culture, like warrior stories or other history, but the other people in my group really enjoyed it as is. Our luau ticket purchase also included a drink ticket, which could only be redeemed for certain drinks, not the real mixed drinks. Overall we had a nice time and felt like it was a pretty good value for what we paid.
