Incredible first experience at Mawn. I have been dying to try this place (drawn in by Khao soi and Burmese salads) and was thrilled to get a reservation. It’s located in what used to be Kalaya before it moved to Fishtown.
Service was attentive and incredibly friendly. All of the waitstaff not only walked us through the menu but took the time to check up on us and to accommodate a gluten allergy.
Ordered the soft shell fried shrimp, ginger melon Burmese salad, steamed clams, Khao soi & oxtail soup.
Every dish was beautiful and delicious. I loved the variety of southeast Asian cuisines and how each dish was equal in quality and flavor.
Was too full to order dessert but I will certainly be back!
