Unique eatery within old brick building. Lovely, fresh menu. Gluten free options... even sweets!

We were actually renting a vrbo rental on the same block as the restaurant. We ran into the owner of Maxines while we were confused where our entrance was and she was kind enough to show us so i decided to visit her restaurant the next day. I was just dropping in for snacks. I got a slice of cheesecake, flourless chocolate cake, and a few cookies. All of the items were delicious and i would love to stop in for real food next time im in town. The only negative is that i can say the slices of cake were a little over priced but they were fresh and when she thought i wanted gluten free cookies she offered to go in the back and make me some real quick. Her customers are clearly important. The only reason i said 4 stars on food was because i got only snacks. As for service, the lady waiting on me was clearly new and probably should have had someone up there with her. Service was a little slow due to her having to go get someone alot to help her.
