Mazzone’s Pizza

Stumbled upon this gem during a road trip stop, the place is super local, clean, the smell is delicious and the menu is large and diverse. The waitress was super nice and patient and the portions!WOW!huge, delicious, and everything freshly made, pizza was great and so were the pastas, and they have a brown rice crust which is really nice for a gluten free option. Overall a great experience and highly recommended.

Tried this place for the first time and it will be my last. I ordered 7 large pizzas and 2 gluten free pizzas. The crust was super dry and hard. They don’t use fresh ingredients but canned toppings. It’s cheap quality. The gluten free pizzas were way overpriced. It was $12 just for a plain one and then $2 for each topping. They charge you a 3.9% credit card fee so my total came out to about $164. They don’t even tell you that over the phone or when you hand them your card. When I questioned the lady behind the cash register about the added fee she pointed to the sign in front of the register. Well, as soon as I read through the sign, there was an insect crawling along the plexiglass in front of the sign. I wish I could’ve said something but there was a customer behind in line and so I didn’t want to be “rude”. This would really hurt their business though. I hope they do better in their kitchen because it’s not worth the money and risk of eating pizza from a place that overcharges and has insects crawling around.
