McGrath's Pub

We were passing through Harrisburg, and my husband is a big fan of Pubs, so we thought we would give McGrath's a try. We have pretty high expectations when it comes to Pub's and good food in general. This place did not disappoint! I ordered the duck and they just substituted more vegetables for Boxty, since I am gluten free. It was cooked to perfection, and one of the best duck dishes I have ever had. The pear chutney combination was amazing! My husband said the genuine shepherd's pie (lamb!) was extremely tasty, and a generous portion! The prices are VERY reasonable. We came on a Wednesday. It was quick service, and although the server said she was new, she did a wonderful job, and was very helpful! Would definitely recommend this place.

Good location, friendly staff and decent food. They have a varied menu with several types/flavors of wing sauces (some are gluten free) and many burgers, sandwiches, salads, and entrees. A nice option is a grilled or blackened protein with a vegetable of the day (chicken with broccoli was $12). Reasonable prices and standard fare.
