Mellow Mushroom McKinney

We just moved to Texas, and some friends had said they had heard good things about this place, so we decided to give it a try. We went to order drinks, and they were out of Coke (my order), vodka (wife's want), & the lavender flavoring for one of the mocktails (my boys wanted this one). So we ordered other stuff. Then we went to order food and my mother doesn't do pizza so she ordered wings of which they were out of so she had nothing. My wife went to order her gluten-free pizza of which they were out of as well. I am guessing they were probably out of other stuff, but we finally picked stuff they had. I am not going to be back as I don't want to play guess what is or is not in stock from the menu. The place was pretty empty as it was a Monday, but the server just wasn't around for refills or anything else. They always say have a good experience and you'll tell 5 people, have a bad experience and you'll tell 20. As this was our first time visiting, maybe it was an off order cycle, but who knows. The total bill for 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) was $115. My wife and son also said that the bathroom needing cleaning as there was stuff all over (I didn't go so I don't know). Gluten free pizza was great.

If you are looking for gluten free pizza SKIP mellow mushroom. It's embarrassingly bad. So many other places have gluten free pizza for a WAY better price and taste. In this day of gluten free pizza they should really have stepped their game up. Edit: per the reply. MOST places offer the whole thing gluten free for a better taste 😂. Never have I been to a pizza place that said all you can have is crust, sauce and cheese.
