Walking into the melting pot our expectations were for a quiet simple evening enjoying moderately delicious cheese. Little did we know that our lives would never be the same again; to blame for this life changing experience is none other than our server, Bashar. Our experience began with a beautifully candid description of the menu. Bashar’s attitude paired perfectly with the menu: short, sweet, and to the point. Upon our request for gluten-free options he went significantly out of his way to ensure that the sauces, meats, and cheese were gluten free. As the boiling pot of coq au vin was delivered to the table, Bashar’s excellent interpersonal skills came to light. Bashar telepathically knew that one of our party was employed as a Search and Rescue pilot. He demonstrated this by calling the ladle a "search and rescue ladle." Amazing! He then used the aforementioned “SAR” ladle to expertly and generously lose our vegetables in the broth resulting in our need to rescue them. But we later discovered that it was not only the vegetables that were lost. Due to our own short-term memory, we quickly forgot which sauces were gluten free, so we flagged down the nearest employee and discovered that Bashar’s expertise was greatly needed. The brave bus boy dove into the depths of the Melting Pot kitchen and returned victorious! Not with Bashar, but with the answers we were seeking. . . or so we thought. After a quick clarification question, our brave lad buckled and we all realized how much we missed our champion, Bashar. Equipped with the search and rescue ladle, the courageous bus boy traversed to the bowels of the kitchen. . . and this time, BASHAR emerged with the answers we sought! [For anyone reading this, the teriyaki and cocktail sauce DO have gluten, or, put in a double-negative, they do not have any gluten free status.] Upon our dessert round, Bashar sweetly asked if there were any desserts we wanted extras of, to which (of course) we asked for more of those heavenly gluten-free brownies. Bashar not only went above and beyond to deliver 15 more of the scrumptious morsels to our table, but proudly proclaimed that these brownies had never been requested and that they required a trip to the very back of the freezer. He found these brownies – without even using the search and rescue ladle! A true hero! All in all, it was a 10 out of 10 experience and would definitely recommend. Apologies to anyone sitting around us who had to hear our joyous fits of hearty laughter for the greater-than-the-maximum-limit-of-two-hours. Thanks for the excellent evening! Stay unforgettable, Bashar.

Great fun date night restaurant! Having had fondue before, this was a different experience. You use broth, not oil, for the main course, so that's better I think. You can choose 3 different broths depending on what you want. All foods were very good and veggies and fruits were fresh. They are pretty good with gluten free options, but ask careful questions and plan ahead because, of you deal with celiac, you have one fondue pot each course. Bread and teriyaki sauces will cross contaminate. Really loved the spinach artichoke cheese fondue and the classic entree selection was plenty for two people! Expect to spend about $55 a person including non-alcoholic drinks. Over all, will come again and do things different for a better celiac-friendly experience.
