Do not eat here if you have food allergies.
They assured me the pork belly could be made gluten free despite the menu not stating it. They had an allergy booklet they could have referenced, but did not.
They even gave me gluten free bread, but the pork belly meat itself had soy sauce in it and therefore was not gluten free. Now I get to suffer with gluten poisoning for a few days.
This situation shows that employees are not receiving proper training.
The manager said this was not a certified gluten free restaurant, I personally don’t really know of any certified restaurant. Their comment seemed to be an attempt to avoid liability, side-step responsibility. They took issue with me telling them I was gluten poisoned. In my opinion, if a worker tells me something can be ordered to be gluten free, it’s on them for saying something that is false and harms me.
