Mercy Tavern

The restaurant fed my fiancé a moldy gluten free bun after talking a big game about how good they are about allergy issues. She noticed the mold about halfway through the burger because it was under the surface of the bun. They comped her burger (literally the least they could do) but still charged for the rest of the meal and didn’t bring the manager out, and they also seemed to doubt that it was actually mold (the three of us all agreed it definitely was). My fiance had to run out of the car with diarrhea on the way home and almost didn’t make it to the bathroom. It was awful for her. They said we should call them if she started feeling bad later, so I did, multiple times, except they didn’t pick up and their voicemail was full so we couldn’t even leave a message. Obviously someone is being careless with their food safety, maybe especially so with the gluten free stuff. Extremely disappointing and kind of ruined my fiance’s night.
