Merlin's: a place where creativity and magic meet On the ground floor of this space in the center of Ubud, you'll find an unusual combination of shop and art space. Here you can see various interesting things: mystical potions, oils, crystals, artifacts and other objects with a touch of mystery. Particular attention is drawn to the wall with an opening, inside of which there is a luminous ball. By touching it, you can make a wish. And a book with messages. You can climb up the crystal staircase to the second floor, where the restaurant is located. The interior is stylized as a mysterious forest with a nod to Harry Potter, with subtle elements creating an atmosphere of magic. The menu is also unusual: the visitor draws a card that identifies his dish. This approach is interesting for those who are ready to trust an unexpected choice, but it is worth considering that there are almost no vegan/gluten free dishes here. The quality of other dishes is slightly above average; connoisseurs of fine cuisine are unlikely to find anything to their liking. But the presentation and drinks are quite original. The price tag is high only because of the atmosphere. Merlin's is a place to visit to get inspired, observe details, listen to music, or simply spend time in a unique atmosphere. Even if you don't plan to dine in, the space itself is worth a look.
