As a Celiac, I came for the gluten free churros but didn’t expect much in the way of food quality based on the reviews. I was quite pleasantly surprised. I found the food fresh, delicious, and well-presented. Everything was cooked perfectly — the churros crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and served warm. The taco slaw was fresh and crunchy, definitely made day-of. Our server was super kind, reassuring me that there was no issue with the fried items with regard to cross contamination. The empanadas were well-filled and delicious! We enjoyed the roof deck atmosphere and really had a nice evening. Very relaxed, cool vibe with great staff. Drinks also delicious and heavy handed! If I were to make one criticism, I did see multiple staff snacking on chips and guac periodically from the bin and container where it was served for guests next to the bar, reaching in with their hands. Maybe don’t do that? Lol. Otherwise we would so come back here! Great place.

GLUTEN-FREE CHURROS!!!! All I have to say is WOWOWOWOWWOWOWOW!!!! Finally! An establishment that sells GOOD quality churros!! I literally tried to get to this place all week and finally yesterday I was able to! I tried another place that didn't sell good GF churros so I was super exicted to try this one. And let me tell you, this place did not disappointment! The churros smelled like fresh fried dough that you would get from the fair! Mouth-watering! The first bite was magical (haha). The churros were coated perfectly with sugar and cinnamon and were soft and moist on the inside. The sauces were also great! I loved the dulce de Leche (I think it was that) the chocolate was okay. Also! I think he's the manager. I missed his name but he was also very patient with taking my call and answering my questions. Overall great establishment and can't wait to come back and try more menu items! Ps. I apologize in advance for the poor photo quality. I was in a moving car while trying to take a picture!

My mother has a bad Gluten Allergy finding places with so many options is hard! The food at Mex was great! It seemed like many of the items were made in house and made with passion and care, the presentation was also very nice. They have a nice open floor plan and good atmosphere. The service was great and all the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about their menu as well as any dietary restrictions. After a great meal, on our way out we were asked how everything was. We said how great everything was and that we didn’t have room for dessert but said we appreciated the gluten free options since they’re so hard to find. Hearing this they gave my mother a complimentary piece of gluten free cake to enjoy and it was such a nice treat for her to enjoy later on that evening. It was delicious and something that she talked about for the next 2 days of how nice it was. I would definitely go back to Mex if I am ever in the Cambridge area. Thank you for a great meal!
