Mexi's Halifax

Walked in hoping to have a wonderful meal as a family, choose this place because of the gluten free (friendly) options. Unfortunately their attitude toward celiac clients was not very friendly. My son is celiac and will be very sick (3 hours non stop vo£!¥!ng) if any cross contamination occurs. We always have a spare lunch for him « just in case ». When confirmed with the waitress about the cross contamination, she bluntly stated that no exterior food is allowed in the restaurant. We left right away without any food or apologies. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Tonight was our first visit to Mexi's Halifax. I love authentic Mexican food but was a bit skeptical about the "Azteca Chicken Nachos" but i tried it and it was divine; and if you are wondering? This definately should be on your regular menu! The blend of traditional and modern is perfect. The creator, Alejandro Padilla, was very adventurous with this masterpiece. Thumbs up to the chef! Additionally, our server was superb! Her name is Jordann and she deserves a double thumbs up from management. She is definately a keeper! Jordann was friendly, prompt, attentive, enthusiastic, knowledgeable about your gluten friendly options, informative about the original Mexicala Rosa's on Spring Garden - which was one of my favorite hangouts while i was working in that area (a long time ago!) I'm happy the Mexi's tradition continues! We will definately be back!
