Mexicali Rosa's

We visited Mexi's Orleans last night. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were sat quickly and waited about 5 minutes for our waitress to greet us. We asked a few questions about the menu, in terms of the Gluten Friendly items, and the waitress had to go ask the chefs. Once we ordered, we waited a good 45 minutes for our food to come out to us, which is long for what we ordered and the fact it wasn't a busy time. But what's worse, the brought out mine and my husband's meal but not the kids. We waited for their food, which one kid was served 5 minutes after us and my youngest had to wait another 10 minutes. She ordered chicken fingers. Then! HALF the chicken fingers were burnt. BURNT! And because we waited for the kids to have their food, our meals were stone cold. Not to mention not very flavorful, was quite bland. The waitress didn't know what to say to us and ran off to ask what we can only assume to be a manager but she was much younger than our waitress. Extremely unimpressed and will not return.

Amazing food, a vast gluten free menu and fantastic service! The ambience is really nice, the lights are beautiful! The vibe is just right
