This was our first visit to this Middendorf's Restaurant. We were scouting it out for a dinner we have for our faculty on the eve or our yearly conference. They were able to accommodate gluten-free diets and you select items which would be appropriate for a vegetarian diet, but not vegan. We ordered things on the menu and shared them with each other. Suggestions would include getting salad dressings on the side. Mine side salad with balsamic dressing, which was good, was swimming in it. The only other problem was the dryness of their hush puppies. The menu offers smaller and larger portions on many of their entrees. The costs of our meals were reasonable for what we were served. Plenty of parking and easy access were appreciated. This restaurant seats 450 people and has room for private functions and large groups. Their original restaurant in Manchac is located near I-12 and I-55. It seats 550. The Slidell location is right off I-10. We decided to hold our dinner there. For those who don't wish for seafood and their very popular fried thin catfish, there are items on the menu from which to chose. We enjoyed it and think you will also find it a great choice.
