Middlemarch Farm - Dining & Carvery

Meals took ages to come out, and one didn't even arrive. We ordered 5 meals (3 families in a party of 13), read off of a list to the server and she managed to miss one completely. Having had to wait ages for the food, then wait even longer for the missed meal - we then couldn't order dessert as it was past 9pm. Kids were very disappointed. Terrible experience really. Very disappointing. I also just found out one member of our party was extremely ill after the meal. He is coeliac so ordered a gluten free burger - clearly this is not what he was given as he was violently ill. My husband also reminded me that we asked not to be seated right by the children's area. That is exactly where they seated us. Well done Middlemarch, you failed on every aspect. I will expect a full refund for the entire party please.

The server (Lindsey) was wonderful. She gave me advice on what I could eat as I am ceoliac. The gluten free options are quite limited in all Farmhouse Inns and this one is no different but the food was good when it arrived. Unfortunately there were no sweet treats available at the time of my visit that were gluten free so I feel I missed out on dessert.
