Ordered a Gluten-Free crust as I have a strong gluten allergy - not it. Tough, dense cardboard :( The toppings were phenomenal so it's such a bummer that the crust ruined it.

My partner and I were displaced from the Palisades Fire, and we were looking for a place to grab a good pizza to eat our feelings away. The moment we walked up, we were greeted by grand, majestic doors that gave way to an incredible view of 6 welcoming and professional chefs baking hand-made pizzas - popping them into a special pizza fire-oven. I definitely said, "wow!" I will admit our experience from that point wasn't perfect, but the way we were treated and the way the staff handled the issues was perfection. First off, there's no hand menus to glance through. The menu is up at the register, where you have to stand and peruse what you want whilst the line builds up behind you, pressuring you to order something fast - even if you're unsure of what you want. They serve gourmet pizzas, salads, and a few dessert selections, as well as alcoholic beverages (which is on a separate menu away from the register). After ordering, you pay for it then and there, you go find your table, and they give you a number for the waiters to bring the food to you. We decided to sit next to (I know...) a warm fire - because it was a cold night. We received our beverages and our salads right away, which were delicious, fresh, and filling. After that? A LOT of mix-ups. The waiter brought my partner "her pizza", and although she ordered it gluten-free, it didn't look like it. I told my partner we should double check before she ate any of it, but she was too hungry to wait (I guess) and she ate pretty much the entire pizza before they brought out anything else for me. Eventually, I went up to the counter to investigate the whereabouts of MY pizza. I found my ticket, sitting on the counter and noticed that my salad, her wine, and my pizza had been marked as delivered, but her Gluten-Free pizza wasn't. One of the chefs asked if I needed help, and I told her that my pizza had never been delivered, and yet it was marked as so, and that my partner received A pizza, but it didn't look like the gluten-free pizza was marked off. She immediately took my ticket and asked the head-chef about the pizzas, and he was a bit agitated, telling her he definitely made those pizzas, so all 3 of us found the waiter and asked him about the mix-up. He apologized profusely, and we determined that he had brought my pizza to the table next to us, who had a similar order. Soon, that table came up to complain about their order being wrong (AFTER they ate MY pizza), and so the waiter took responsibility, apologized, and the whole team said they would make me a new pizza and have it out right away. I sat back at my table and asked the table next to us if my pizza was good or not, the kids laughed and said it was delicious. Within 10 mins, the waiter came to my table with a pizza, and he said, "he's your Gluten-free vegetable pizza". My jaw dropped, and my partner as well. We communicated with the waiter that the Gluten-free pizza he brought was my partner's... and so the pizza he brought for her before, the one she ate in its entirety, was NOT Gluten-free. We panicked for a second, but luckily my partner is not celiac, and the waiter apologized profusely and reassured us that the wheat is imported from Italy, and so her wheat allergy might not be as bad as the chemically sprayed American wheat. He left the pizza with her for free, and the kitchen, again, made me MY pizza and added a free nutella and fresh berry calzone dessert for free. The kitchen felt awful for us, and we were concerned, but after a couple days - the reality is they handled everything SO well and were SO professional. The food was DELICIOUS, the service was top-notch despite the hiccups, and the atmosphere of the place was great! They even had a cool area for you to get your own appetizer plates with oils and seasonings if you wanted to get fancy. My only critique would be to make the menu more accessible, and to possibly get some honey for the crusts :). Otherwise, I'd highly recommend this place; best part is - my partner didn't even get sick from the wheat! High quality!

This is my favorite place to get a wood fired gluten free pizza. It is so hard finding a good gluten free pizza. This last weekend I drove from Culver City just to pick up my pizza but unfortunately got stuck on the 405 for 5 hours due to an oil spill. These guys were so sweet and refunded my order and even offered to make me my pizza just as a nice gesture. So sweet of them. Will always come back here
