I was pleasantly surprised at not only how good the food was but at how accommodating they were to gluten allergies/intolerances. I have a severe form of NCGS (non-celiac gluten sensitivity) and usually know how to navigate around Japanese restaurants (don’t order any sauces, ask if they have tamari, order bento boxes shioyaki, etc) but here I didn’t have to! They had a GF menu that didn’t compromise on flavor at all. I had low expectations given this was a last minute pit stop in a strip mall but it was so good I would return with the sole purpose of eating here.
