I usually love Mikuni but our recent visit was a miss. Our waiter knew nothing about the sake list. The sake he recommended was so sweet, like literal nectar and undrinkable. My husband's food came 10 minutes before mine, so by the time I got my order he was almost finished eating. I ordered a roll from the gluten free menu and was extremely disappointed. Mikuni usually makes beautiful rolls and this one was so plain and lackluster. I get being gluten free but no green onions? Sesame seeds? No garnish at all. I was also not offered any kind of gluten free soy sauce until my husband got out of his seat to get the waiters attention and specifically ask. Very disappointed in our dinner service.
