Nice atmosphere but I'm so surprised to see how many people come here to eat this level of quality food. I ordered the special pasta that had shrimp, crab, spinach (which I swapped with arugula), wine sauce, linguine. Everything was wrong. Shrimp and crab overcooked, hence rubbery. The linguine was a disaster. My husband's squid ink linguine came out all clumped up together and when we asked about it, the waitress said it was like that because the pasta is home made and they tend to clump together but should be all cooked. I do enjoy a good al dente pasta but the issue was beyond the time of boiling the pasta. The pasta had no elasticity and kept breaking into crumbs and the texture was absolutely off. (I say too much egg and not enough gluten) Just because it's homemade doesn't mean it also tastes good.
We had honey glazed pork belly and that also was rubbery and tasted bland.
I truly am confused what the appeal is to see so many people there that night but I guess Albany doesn't have much options.
