Mimmo's in Essex - Pizzeria & Restaurant

I ordered gluten free Alfredo and asked them to label it on the container. The to go waitress was wonderful on the phone and said everything would be taken care of. Upon arrival my food was stacked under a gluten dish and two pieces of bread. I have celiac so cross contamination is a big issue. To clarify what was going on I called the restraunt and they said it was a policy to put a piece of bread with every order unless I SPECIFY otherwise. Despite me saying I have a severe allergy to bread I still received it in my order and was told I need to ask otherwise. I have been eating at this restraunt for years and have never had a problem with it. I’m highly disappointed in their awareness concerning allergies and cross contamination.

Excellent food! Excellent service! They even have tasty gluten free choices! 😁
