Unfortunately, a flop. Vegan and gluten-free, that's a challenge. I ordered pumpkin with puree. And that was—as some have already pointed out—a bitter disappointment. Completely tasteless and probably all from a packet. I can cook that at home. The water I ordered was served in an open carafe (approx. 0.7 l), so it was sparkling tap water. But charging €9.80 for that is simply inappropriate. The room was very poorly heated; it was cold and drafty. Even the fleece blankets placed on the floor-to-ceiling windows didn't help much. The floor itself was very dirty, as was the apron of the waitress, who was also standing in for the ill chef that day. If I hadn't invited my daughter and her boyfriend, I would have left. Their pasta was okay, but nothing special. Therefore, 2 stars overall, because my dish wasn't even worth one star. Very disappointing!
Response to your reaction from April 19th:
First of all, I wasn't thrown off my feet before entering your restaurant. A strange idea. Secondly, I don't think we've ever met in person. How do you think I'm "snotty"? And: I certainly didn't leave any "devastation" behind. I firmly reject this insinuation!
I apologize for underestimating the amount of water in the carafes. If you want to serve mineral water, the bottle must be opened at the table. Otherwise, it's table water or tap water. I have nothing against that. But the price isn't appropriate.
I would like to give a positive shout-out to the waitress, who also cooked that day. She was very friendly, and I didn't want to cause her any additional stress.
Some reviews before me point out that you should "dress warmly," that "it was cold," and similar comments. My dish, in particular, has also been criticized several times. Maybe just remove it from the menu if you know it's not going down well.
It's been criticized several times that it wasn't really clean and the kitchen seemed a bit chaotic.
To be honest, I would have expected an apology rather than an unprofessional and insulting response.
