Terrible for gluten free /coeliacs (I did not eat here because I don’t trust they would do actual gluten free). Several dishes are starred to indicate gluten free on their menu when they are in fact not. I asked about the moussaka (which was starred) and they said “yes” but when I asked them to make certain they said that it wasn’t because of the flour. When I said they should change this on the menu, he said “it’s gluten free usually” (which seems highly unlikely since by default moussaka is not gf). Then he talked me through the dishes that were gluten free and admitted that another one which was starred (chicken and sage) was not actually gluten free “because it has cream in it”. I pointed out that cream does not have gluten and it’s usually just flour that does, to which he said “that’s what I mean, we put flour in with the cream”. Once again they didn’t seem fazed that their menu said it was gluten free even though it wasn’t. Overall seemed like they 1) didn’t really know what gluten was and 2) didn’t seem to care about potentially making customers sick.
To be fair it’s a beautiful location & decent prices, so as long as you don’t have allergies it seems like a nice place to eat
