Moke Dining

An absolute delight! Warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived. A quirky, relaxed but luxurious atmosphere. Perfect for a long Sunday lunch. The service was attentive and warm. Every interaction was pleasant and professional. As to the food, which is an absolute highlight of our visit. Every dish was carefully crafted and beautifully served. The entree was a quartet of little delights. The two mains of rabbit and beef were equally delicious. The head chef would introduce some of the high lights and stays to chat. Which adds a beautiful touch and enhances the the experience and adds another dimension to the epicurean story. The chef tells us he sources his stone fruit (blood plum) from a local small biodynamic orchard, which he cleverly used to add acidity and dimension to the rabbit dish. Oh yes, my personal favourite was this French curry with snapper that was perfectly seasoned. The dessert was glorious! Extensive wine list, but due to my driving, I had to limit my consumption. I did however, enjoyed a local pinot Grigio which was very good. They were highly professional when dealing with my dining companion’s gluten intolerance. The chef ensured he wasn’t left out but creating additional gluten free components for him. It was much appreciated. I am so happy to have found this little gem in Flinders and already lookingforward to returning. Thanks Alex and Michael. We loved our time at Moke.
