Really disappointed with my recent visit to Momiji. My husband and I went over the weekend around 3pm, when it wasn't very busy. I've been here before and previously liked it, as they seemed to understand celiac needs.
That said, the food wasn't the issue (at least the few items we received). Our waitress seemed flustered by us asking for anything - water, tea, a menu, etc... We ordered a few sushi rolls, along with teriyaki. Once the sushi comes, and our waitress proceeds to ignore us for at least 45 minutes, despite only having 1 other table. Another waitress eventually stopped by to give us more water and we inquire about the teriyaki, which the original waitress never ordered!
They both now apologize, but we are both quite annoyed at this point at request the bill. I'm very confused about what our waitress was hoping would happen while she was ignoring us. Were we supposed to hunt her down and ask for the bill? What was the issue here, because it certainly was not busy in the restaurant.
