Mongo's Grill

Food was good for most of us. One complaint was that they don't have a lot of Gluten free sauces which leaves the food pretty tasteless. That and they charge for cheese now....$1.19 for the small container of cheese is kinda nuts! Place is still good for Birthday dinners but not for regular dining.

I just want you to be aware that there was a Cross-contamination Issue at your Regent ave Winnipeg location. I Have Celiac Disease which means i have a Allergy to Wheat, Barley and rye. Normally i have no issue with your other locations but i ended up at your regent location for an event. I really liked the "Menu" that explained the items i could eat and the care your staff was going to take with my food. But it didnt happen like promised on that menu. One of your cooks ended up pushing my food towards the area that wasn't cleaned for my safety and then scraped my food "Swords" against the Dirty swords which did cause Cross contamination. I said "Please No" to him with my hands to my face and all he did was look up and smile at me and proceed to scrap my food into the bowl once again into the Dirty side of the grill that did have regular noodles cooked on it just before. I ended up calling a server over explained what happened. She tried to convince me to get something eles but at that point its just too risky to try again. She took away the food but NO manager ever came to our table to rectify the situation AT ALL I could be hospitalized and die because of my allergy i try not to go out to eat but i thought because of my positive experience at other locations i would be safe. I cant help but be a little heart broken. Sorry Frances M
