Moor Hall Hotel & Spa

Came for cream tea. Sat down at the table and was asked by the waiter what tea we would like to order without being given a menu beforehand. Once the tea came we waited 10 minutes for cutlery, milk and sugar (this was of course me getting up and asking for it) The food came and we were given Afternoon Tea instead of the Cream Tea which we requested. You can’t get anything from the waiters without getting up and physically asking for it. The gluten free and regular scones came cold and were mediocre. Not asked once whether the food was ok or if we would like any refills. Bare in mind only 4 tables were occupied with people - this is very disappointing as I expected better service considering this is a 4 star establishment.

We had a lovely spa day, relax in the hotel and walk around the grounds. The food was lovely- The gluten free options for me were really delicious too: We stayed in the bar longer as a result and had a lovely time.
