Food was delicious and service was great, nice view of the lake and plenty of drinks to choose from.
Now, why I’m sharing this bit is because I want to thank them for being so good with understanding gluten free. I ordered a gluten free burger, but there was a mistake in the kitchen and the burger was accidentally put on a surface that contained gluten (I get it, mistakes happen and this is the risk that comes with eating out when you’re a coeliac). In most restaurants, I reckon they’d just put the food out and not cared about the customer’s health but that did not happen here.
Instead, the chef checked in with me about it and they were sincerely apologetic. Since it was Saturday night there were no more gf buns, after a quick chat they did it bunless and threw in some extra chicken and chips.
TBH I reckon they’d could put what they served me on the menu instead of the burger and charged more. It was probably the best fried chicken I’ve ever eaten and the slaw complemented it excellently. Chips were great too.
