people need to know…but not too many people, yknow? wow. such delicious fresh food, got the cold udon sashimi and it was perfectly made. amazingly convenient for english speakers and next to our stay at hakone ginyu. Super friendly staff. and best of all gluten free options / tamari!! Try the mt fuji soda pop!

Beautiful little restaurant. We were eager for a change of pace from our hotel restaurant and this was a perfect local dining experience. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and easy to communicate with in English. They even had a gluten free menu. My husband had the gluten free beef bowl and I had the udon with pork dipping broth (not GF). Both were really delicious. I also recommend the local Gora IPA beer!

this was hands down my favorite meal in hakone, if not in all of japan. I have asymptomatic celiac and therefore eating in japan can be tricky. the staff here noted that while the kitchen is not gf, they offer gf foods including gf soy sauce! and the food was FAB. one example of how thoughtful this owner was: at the beginning of the meal she brought out free soup for our group but brought a bowl of warm boiled peanuts for me because the soup was not gf. the peanuts were totally unusual and delicious and it was so kind of her to provide an alternative for me. i could not recommend this restaurant more highly. fyi definitely make a reservation because its small and fills up FAST
