We popped in for lunch on Saturday. It’s been well hyped so just wanted to see what the fuss was all about. We’re sat on a ‘swing table’ which was two swings either side of a static table. It meant there was no chair as such, so nowhere to put coats and jackets. The swings were a silly gimmick and not only made your back ache, but meant you were slightly folded forward to stay on the thing, so it was not disastrous, but unnecessary and uncomfortable. The menu was extensive so we went for the tiffin selection which was essentially a rice and three, two meat dishes and a veg dish. They were ok. Had a kind of home cooked taste. You get the ‘chef’s selection, but all four meat dishes were chicken. Two tasted ok but the other two were bland. I guess chicken is relatively cheap, and we’d never order it normally, so it was a bit disappointing that it was their idea of a tasting menu. It needs varying. Both veggie dishes, one potato and the other, chick peas, had an uncooked garlic overtone to them which was not nice. It was as if garlic powder had been added at the last minute and not cooked off. Not bad enough to complain by the way. It was all just ok but not great, and certainly not ‘wow’. There are far better Indian restaurants nearby, but not all are open for lunch. We’ll probably try again in the evening and see what the meat dishes taste like but won’t be in a hurry to do so., Staff were lovely. I’m gluten intolerant and there is a menu with most of the main menu on it. They do check if you’re coeliac as none of the dishes can be 100% guaranteed gf. They sell Daura beer which is OK. So all-in-all it was OK. Which sounds a bit glib, but there’s nothing more to say really.

I have been a long time fan of Mowgli, last night was my first visit to the Knutsford branch and I must say that the experience was made all the more enjoyable thanks to our server, Molly. From the moment we were seated, she greeted us with a warm and friendly smile, making us feel right at home. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she made excellent recommendations based on our preferences. Molly’s attentiveness throughout the meal was brilliant. She checked in just the right amount of times to ensure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about her customers, and that made the entire dining experience more enjoyable. The food itself was fantastic – perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. But Molly’s excellent service really stood out as the highlight of the evening. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable time I have knocked one star off the food rating for 2 small reasons, firstly the change to the chai rum sling is disappointing, please go back to infusing the rum, and secondly as I am unable to have gluten I really wish that some gluten free bread/roti could be used to offer the himalayan cheese on toast and chip butty.... Again shout out to Molly who also said she would pass on these requests...I live in hope! All in all, a lovely meal and fantastic service! Thanks Mowgli and Molly

Came for the first time last night and the menu was overwhelming but Jayden was amazing at helping us out and gave great recommendations! (Being gluten free she was very attentive and helpful with things for myself ) We will definitely be coming back :)
