Mullans

I visited on Saturday for my first time with my husband, Dad and sister, I asked what the vegetarian options were as unclear on the website and was greeted with a very polite lady and told me all the options including vegan, gluten free etc and to my surprise a proper veggie full English 😀 two veggie sausages, veggie bacon , portabello mushroom , tomato, avocado hash brown balls,toast and beans in a ramakin and the others had two normal full English and eggs on Toast . It was absolutely delicious and was the best breakfast I have had! The rest of the party agreed too x Thankyou Mullans ******************************************** Returned on the 29th June with my daughter ,Husband and baby as was so unimpressed to be absolutely disappointed. Pre book table for 12.45, arrived at 12.40 , taken to table , drinks ordered then when we asked to order food we were told no, no explanation why then asked again and again told no? Waitress rude and all of the staff did not want to be there, all looked miserable Your prices are on the higher scale and don't mind paying if the food is delicious and you have good service. We needed to order quickly due to the baby being asleep and my daughter able to eat in peace . If we were told there was a wait for food when we arrived we could have made the decision to stay or leave then but no we were made to wait over half an hour, when finally someone came to take our order we informed her we were not eating and would like to pay for our drinks and would need the bill and she just looked at us and walked away, this is unacceptable service and will not be returning and a real shame as my first visit was amazing and told everyone how good you were but would feel awful sending anyone to you after that day. Shocking!

Have had to give mid range review unfortunately. I am gluten intolerent and made this very clear . Ordered mushrooms on toasted bread. When the bill arrived I noticed that they had not added the surcharge of 90 pence for gluten free bread. Asked them to check and they had ommitted giving me gluten free. I am gluten intolerant but had I been coeliac that would have been awful. They were very busy but I do feel they need to know what they are giving their customers and perhaps better training . Otherwise it is a vibrant cafe /restaurant
