NOODLE THYME

The Sichuan dishes are fantastic. After looking for authentic Chinese food in the Tricities and almost giving up, a colleague recommended Noodle Thyme. I tried the boiled fish with sichuan peppers dish and fell in love. It reminded me of the food in Chicago’s Chinatowns dim sum spots. I have gone back and have tried other dishes. The noodle soup with soybean paste, the fish with picked peppers, salt and pepper tofu, house lo mein . All excellent. They have a lot of gluten free options and can also sub their delicious rice noodles in most noodle dishes. Their dim sum looks delicious but I haven’t tried it as I don’t eat gluten. The sweet lady who takes orders gives great recommendations if I’m in the mood to try a new dish. They can get busy, call ahead and order so you don’t have a long wait.

My close friends recommended this place as authentic Chinese food. I was lucky to accompany them and tried things on the menu that I have not heard of before. The pork boa buns are huge and so delicious! Also you have to try the boiled fish soup. The fish tastes very fresh and is so tender! They use Sichuan peppercorns, which is so aromatic and so delightful! I am so obsessed with the soup I come back every two weeks to order again. Highly recommend this place to people who like food adventures. Customer for life here 😍 this menu has lots of gluten free items as well!
