Had very high hope for this place, considering we were told to go here by friends in the business. Portions are big - over the top. Not too expensive compared to other steakhouses. Drinks were good.
Now for the not so good. It’s in a (smoky) casino - had not considered that before making the trek. But that aside, we sat at the bar…and sat…and sat…. A Tuesday night so it wasn’t busy. But for 10 minutes, none of the three bartenders even greeted us. A “hello, welcome, we’ll be right with you” would’ve been great. There was another bartender - Taylor - who showed up and she was lovely and attentive. The male bartenders should have just gone home. When asked if a meal was ok for certain allergen restrictions, one of the male bartenders said he didn’t know. He was advised by a server to call the kitchen. He didn’t. When asked again, he walked away. Taylor to the rescue. She called the kitchen immediately after asking if the dish we already received (bacon that came with cornbread), was gluten free. It wasn’t - and we avoided a disasterous evening.
Too many great options in the area to consider going back.
