Nana’s Green Tea

Absolutely 100% my favorite matcha. I order the iced matcha latte float with almond milk and sub black sesame ice cream. I’d like to try something else from the menu, but this is just too delicious to abandon. Everything on the tables around me looked amazing. Unfortunately, not too much is gluten free besides drinks and ice cream, but those are perfectly satisfying.

I’ve been a fan of the Seattle location, so I’m thrilled to have a Nana’s closer to me on the Eastside. Clean, cozy-modern vibe with helpful and friendly staff. Even more dessert and tea options than the Seattle location! They offer several types of onigiri but no entrees as they don’t have a kitchen. I’m holding out hope for gluten- and dairy-free desserts someday, though. I tried the Shizuoka Matcha Americano and it was perfectly balanced. Laughing at the two-star review that downgraded Nana’s for the reviewer’s own silly choice to drink a matcha latte at night; caffeine will do that to you if you’re sensitive to it. Not Nana’s fault for making a great matcha latte.
