Natural Grocers

Good location. They have some interesting items in their herbal, vitamin and holistic medicine sections, however I have found outdated food on the shelves on several visits, including dairy, probiotics and vitamins. Most of the staff can be generally pleasant, but at the check-out counter if you have a full cart they always comment on how much you have bought and how much you are spending. So far I have heard "Wow, I have never seen anybody spend that much money here before" as well as "You sure are buying a lot of freezer food" , "Are you having a party?" and "Wow, that's a lot of water, you must be a very thirsty person." The staff needs to know that they should be building relationships with the customer by saying things like "Is that orange juice good, I haven't had the opportunity to try it, yet?" or "Wow, we just got those gluten free cookies in. I hope you enjoy them!" rather than talking about how they don't want to have to ring up so much and becoming frantic when they have to call for assistance for other lines to open up if a second customer approaches the counter to check-out. People are understanding, people will wait in line.
