New Farm Deli

If you're not into crowded places then skip this cafe/restaurant. It came with rave reviews but it was lacking in a few ways. First up, we sat down at a table to be told quite curtly that there was a queue at the front door & you wait to be seated. The wait wasn't long in fairness. It's pricey but has that "THE place to be seen" atmosphere. We asked for twice for a side salad but instead we received a full salad that, to be honest was nothing more than a bowl of green leaves with three walnuts, a bit of apple & red onion topped with a lot of shaved parmesan & a bitter dressing. I had roasted turkey cranberry, advocardo & cheese panini. I asked for gluten free bread instead & it was that horrid cheap gluten free bread that falls apart. The whole sandwich, whilst tasting okay ended up very mushy. I know there are better GF bread options on the market. Wouldn't go back. But I see where some people in New Farm would think it was to their standards & liking.

I've come here since 2010 and will always feel spoilt for choice. The quality and care the chefs go to exceeds my expectations everytime.. just perfection! It's like being in Italy. The staff are always well trained and attentive. Really suggest taking some time to walk through the deli too, you'll go home with some wonderful treats. They have lots of Gluten Free options in the restaurant and deli too, and they are actually delicious.
