My son and I had lunch at Nick and Jake's during his visit, taking advantage of some Father/Son time. Although I had eaten there before, my dietary needs have changed significantly since then due to my diabetes and low-fat diet.
When we received the menus, I noticed they offered gluten-free options but lacked nutritional information regarding calories or sugar content.
Despite it being a busy Sunday at noon, we were seated immediately without a reservation. My son opted for the chicken and waffles, while I chose Jake’s salad with added salmon for protein.
We sat in a booth in the bar area, and the service was prompt and polite. Our food arrived within 10 minutes and was absolutely delicious! I was able to request my salad with iceberg lettuce instead of the mixed greens without any issues. The salad, topped with moist and flavorful salmon, was perfectly balanced. I used just two tablespoons of ranch dressing, which was all I needed.
The chicken and waffles were a delightful mix of sweet and salty, and my son thoroughly enjoyed it, vowing to return for more.
We finished with a small carrot cake, the moistest I've had in years. Additionally, we were able to have a conversation easily without having to yell above others or music noises.
I highly recommend trying Nick and Jake's for yourself!
I would rated a 5 if they had the dietary information available which can be a show stopper for some customers that have severe health concerns.
