Nightingale Rooftop Restaurant & Bar

Food overall was delicious, albeit large plates were smaller portions than expected. Good gluten free accommodations. Flavor was great. Small plates were delicious and appreciated the unique flavors.

Positives: drinks were good, and most of the food was good Negative: the service was incredibly slow There were definitely staffing issues. We ordered the pre-fixed menu and waited for an hour and a half for our entrees to arrive. Our drinks also took a long time to arrive. At the end, our waiter was apologetic that it took too long, but at one point also asked if our food had arrived. Clearly we weren't eating so... We came to this restaurant because they offered gluten free options and we have a Celiac member of our family. When we sat down, we mentioned to the waiter that we had a Celiac diner and he asked what that meant! Not off to a great start. From there the service was downhill as it took a very long time for the food to arrive. We recognized that there seemed to be a shortage of staff. We asked to speak with the manager to explain our frustration. We were not looking for a discount but rather a chance to offer our feedback. She was apologetic and acknowledged that they had a shortage in staffing. She offered us a 10% discount which was nice. The food was good, but not good enough to overcome the poor service. We will not be back unfortunately.

Food, service, atmosphere, this place has it all! The servers were so friendly and kind. We arrived at 830 and they still served me food from their full menu even though they closed at 9 pm. I have gluten and dairy intolerance and they marked up the menu with what I could safely eat. It was so nice to have the rice pudding - finally, a dessert that was gluten and dairy free that isn’t sorbet (which is typically the option everywhere else I go if anything). The pumpkin soup was small and had a spicy kick to it but was filling. The brisket was cooked to perfection with a delicious sauce and they subbed the side for me to fries which were seriously the best. I will already be craving those again soon! The decor is super chic too! I asked for the bartender to surprise me with a passion fruit mocktail and it was one of the best mocktails I’ve ever had! Looking forward to going back soon!!
