We booked a table for 3 at 730 pm on a Friday night. Beware they will charge you $30 pp if you cancel within a certain time frame.
We chose to eat inside as the outside tables were in the midst of the Friday markets and teeming with people and noise. The restaurant is spacious and not too noisy. You can't BYO on a Friday night but there is a wine menu which isn't too expensive. They only serve house wine by the glass though. They do have hard cider which is gluten free. There were also some dishes that could be done gluten free. We did not order any Yum Cha dishes.
Overall the service was good enough but they don't keep an eye open over the restaurant once you have ordered, so on several occasions I had to wave my arms to get their attention. Once you get them to come to your table, then the orders come promptly. The food was very nice. We had satay chicken entree and some dumplings, and since very little was GF on the entree menu, my partner had a delicious fish and vegetable/mushroom soup.
Along with fried rice we had a seafood dish, prawn dish and a beef and vegetable dish (which was rather greasy I thought.) Anyway we enjoyed the food, the serves were generous and the cost was around $70 pp including drinks. We were able to take leftovers home- 50c per takeaway box.
