Nine Mile South Asheville

My favorite restaurant in the area. Such fresh, healthy dishes, many of which can be made without dairy or gluten. The salad dressings are incredible! I rotate between the Back-A-Yard bowl (with tilapia), Kingston 12, Cool Runnings and the Nolan. Always so good even when you order takeout.

Delicious food! Poor and slow customer service. I was bummed to have a lame experience for such a cool place! The atmosphere was great. Menu ALL sounded so good! I went for the Irie Ites with Tofu and gluten free noodles. It was absolutely one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The tofu seasoning and preparation was perfect. The pesto was so delicious and coated all of the ingredients well. The meal was served with salad and their signature bread. My daughter ate the bread and loved it. For the salad, I went for the sesame garlic tahini dressing and it was again, absolutely delicious! The unfortunate part about all of this though was…. It took soooooo long for our server to greet us, to get our order taken, for our food to arrive and to get our ticket closed out. It was my husband myself and our two kids. My daughter and I shared a dish. My husband and son weren’t hungry, so they just hung out with us. And I just feel like, when you see a family who’s obviously there to enjoy the food (not the drinks) with kiddos… that you ought to make sure you get them taken care of within a timely manner. Our waiter could have had better attention to detail in that sense.
