We visited for Afternoon tea on a quiet Friday. Paid for parking outside for the day. My partner is a coeliac and they had prepared everything beautifully for her. The pastry chef here had made THE BEST scones we have ever tasted. Slightly crunchy on the outside and soft, fluffy and delicious on the inside. Absolutely superb, and generous with the clotted cream.
The cakes were also delicious, the only one that didn't quite hit the mark was the white chocolate and raspberry choux bun. The white chocolate lacked flavour. Other than that, faultless. Delicious coffee, flavoursome and pungent loose leaf fruit teas.
No.4 has raised the bar for what we now consider a first-rate Afternoon Tea.
