No Coast Taqueria

While I have always enjoyed No Coast food truck at local Farmer’s Markets, I admit that I dragged my feet getting out to the brick and mortar location in Ellington. Working hard to make up for that poor decision making by having visited twice in the past 9 days! Fresh, locally sourced menu options with wonderful fusion creations make this place a must-visit now! The queso is not to be missed and Wing Wednesday featured a delicious Teriyaki Buffalo. Attentive front of house staff never left us feeling ignored and back of house staff paid attention to all the little details. Visited with a gluten-free friend who was happy with the many gluten-free options available (though she WAS a bit disappointed that there was beer in the queso, which broke her queso-craving heart. Luckily, the guacamole was just as good!). Looking forward to our next visit already because I haven’t been able to stop thinking about how delicious that quesadilla was on my last visit!

We have been in a few times, and this restaurant has become our favorite local spot! It’s hard to find much variety around here - lots of Italian and American food. I have never been a big Mexican food fan until coming to No Coast! My son loves spice, my husband loves tacos and I love a crispy, perfect French fry so this place hits all of those for our family. We also are gluten free and I was told their fryers are all gluten free and think they should definitely market that more! So many of us are looking for great options for GF dining. I got the special which was a cilantro lime rice bowl with local greens and I decided to add their chicken. If you love spice this is right up your alley! So delicious! We love the garlic French fries with both sauces (or dippy as we call it in our house) we had left over fries to take home and the owner kindly brought us over sauce to go with our to go boxes, unasked. I thought that was super kind and just one of those things that shows you they truly care. We typically get their wings and love the tajin buffalo! My son gets the smash burger every time and if we go anywhere else he requests the “taco place smash burger” 🤣 The board games and vintage video games make everything feel fun and relaxed, I think everyone will love the vibe this place has! Whether it’s date night, family night, take out or dine in, this spot truly is a hidden gem in the community. They are attentive, accommodating, kind, clean, and quick. There is plenty of space for both large and small parties. The price point is very affordable and the value is there with great portion sizes. I think the owners of No Coast deserve all the credit in the world for bringing an awesome concept to our community and delivering excellent hospitality! Can’t wait to come back!!

Such a fun place, and the chips are amazing! Our server, Cassidy was super knowledgeable about gluten free options on the menu. As someone with allergies, I felt safe dining here! SO GOOD
