Nomé Izakaya (Don Mills)

I truly appreciate how the servers go out of their way to accommodate my dietary restrictions (I’m celiac and have a severe dairy allergy). For my upcoming birthday, they surprised my friend and I with a sparkler-topped shot since I couldn’t have any desserts, which was such a caring and thoughtful gesture. I gave the food 4 stars because while everything I’ve had is delicious, I wish there were more than just 2 or 3 menu options for those with gluten restrictions. The atmosphere also gets 4 stars because during my last few visits, I noticed some tension among the staff that was audible, especially near the sushi bar. However, the service was otherwise excellent, and I wish I remembered the name of our server—she was absolutely lovely. I’ll definitely be returning for Shuck and Buck!
