Our waiter Luca, didn't give us the full experience. Sadly I heard another waitress doing her job with such class and enthusiasm. No specials were said, the other waitress greeted her table with the specials. Apparently we weren't special. My husband's meal was lacking flavor and chicken. 3 small bits of chicken with his penne pasta. My daughters Alfredo, sauce was bland and this Mama never adds salt to ANYTHING, but this NEEDED it. It was great after I added some flavor. My tortellini fungi was amazing. My son's pizza and my mother gluten free pizza(yes they have gluten free pasta and pizza)was tasty. Never did we just get drink refills, we had to ask. Sadly I wished our waiter made our first experience here a nicer one. Don't think hubby will want to come back. 😢

Visiting from out of town and was not pleasantly surprised with this place. I was in search for good carbonara and was planning to go to Manello’s when I came across Nonna. We didn’t want to walk further so we decided to eat here. I did like that they had the “no gluten” option. Our server was nice. Here is a couple things that went wrong: 1. The food came out within 5 minutes. Therefore, it is not from scratch.. I ordered the carbonara and my friend ordered the pesto. 2. When I made the comment “wow that was fast” - the waiter replied with “microwave dun and chuckled.” I would’ve laughed too if the pesto didn’t actually looked microwaved. 3. My stomach is rumbling so I know for a fact that this is not gluten free. 4. The taste was below average and the noodles were rubbery with overcooked bacon bits. 5. They used penne pasta. Uhm, what. They might have as well used rigatoni. Actually, rigatoni would taste better. 6. My friend’s stomach is rumbling too. Would def not recommend.

so, so amazing and delicious food and very friendly and helpful staff. we were going for gluten-free and dairy free (challenging with Italian food often), and they have a gluten-free penne they can swap out for most of the pasta dishes with their amazing sauces! I had the octopus appetizer, and it was like a meal with a huge arugula salad, fresh lemons, pesto, and potatoes. it was just delightful! Also had the carpaccio and the house pasta specialty with gluten-free penne and no dairy. it was AMAZING. I also had the white peach Italian soda and YUMMY... like summer in my mouth! the staff were so, so friendly with warm and kind eye contact and attentive, without being in a false "I'm just showing up for my job" kind of way. Will definitely come back whenever I'm in town. I'm so thankful this place exists! it's like a vacation in the States. Fair prices, too.
