wow. to say this meal was a religious experience is an understatement. as someone with a gluten, almond, and sesame allergy it’s rather hard to find places to eat that are accommodating. by accommodating i don’t only mean able to eat there, but able to feel reassured that the meal i’m being served won’t end with me having a reaction of sorts. i was lucky enough to have Lauren as our server who was nothing short of an absolute gem. she was knowledgeable, reassuring, and incredibly kind throughout this entire experience. i got gluten free penne with pink sauce and chicken and as i was being handed my dish she made sure to reassure me that it was entirely gluten free. the meal was heavenly. i’m pretty sure that if i had to be granted my last meal it would be that exact dish. the chicken was perfect, the sauce was nice and creamy, and the pasta didn’t have any sort of weird taste (like most gluten free pastas). this dish tasted so amazingly that even my partner couldn’t resist stealing a few bites. i ate the entire meal so quickly and absolutely beaming the entire time. upon finishing our meal, our plates were quickly removed from our table and we were asked about dessert. while there unfortunately isn’t a dessert that i could eat due to my allergies, my boyfriend (who has no allergies) was ecstatic to try their tiramisu. as he was handed his dessert, our amazing server, Lauren, hands me some cannoli filling with a spoon- a dessert variation that i could enjoy. to be considered like that when dining here was an amazing experience and i cannot put into words how much i recommend this place. easily an 11/10 experience. and for those who are wondering, the tiramisu was “delectable” according to my boyfriend, and so was the cannoli filling.
