The service is excellent.
They are mostly knowledgeable about the ingredients and if they aren't sure they check and also check with you. I was looking for plant-based items only and inquired about the milk teas because some places offer non-dairy milk as an option. Unfortunately they only have milk tea powder and that milk powder has both whey and casein in it. They do however offer fruit juices in what you could add regular boba or popping boba We talked about the different sauces and dressings and it turns out that there is a spicy mayo on the bao buns and the BBQ sauce they use does have oyster sauce in it so a no for me but the sushi sauce that they use is plant-based and was surprisingly delicious on both the tofu bao bun and the tofu skewers. The tofu is crispy on the outside which is just the way I like it. There is a build your own noodle bowl option that I used that also includes gluten-free noodles which I had last time and they were fabulous and this time I had the udon which were again terrific. The broth option that was for me was the vegetable broth, the $8 charge covers noodles and broth, and there were more than enough choices of other veggies to add in at the cost of $1 per item so you can build yourself a nice noodle bowl. My coworker had a loaded waffle fry appetizer and the Vietnamese sausage which he enjoyed. I'm not into anime or whatever decor it is that they have their but it is quite cute and looks like video game and comic book characters. The place is very clean, open, well lit without being obnoxious. I really enjoy seeing the little robot delivery system they have, it's really cute. The staff are all very nice and very helpful. Parking is ample and convenient as this place is in the New Britain Shopping Center.
