North End Baking Co. & Café

I ordered a big party box of cookies from North End Baking Co. (now in the South End) for a donor event I was hosting at work. Service was impeccable, the cookies were PHENOMENAL (and allergy-friendly!), and they were presented really beautifully in the box. The cafe is really clean and bright, and the two employees I encountered were delightful. Look no further- you've found the hot spot in town for gluten-free treats! PLUS you're supporting an important cause while you do it. Win-win! Tip - place your cookie orders in advance, as they do a limited number of large orders.

I received service that was not just friendly, but truly joyful. Gluten-free baked goods often feel like an act of penance, but my chocolate cookie was delicious and had a delightful taste and texture. The decor is light and bright and the location - just around the block from the main branch of the Halifax Public Library - well, the only improvement would be if they took on the franchise of the late lamented Ampersand Cafe. Well done North End!
